Allegiant Air announced its final flight from and to the Twin Fall which will be this Sunday, January first.
Due to the low incomes that the flight got, it decided to move their planes to other airports where they can make more money than they can here.
The Airport Manager at Magic Valley Regional Airport, Bill Carberry, said, “Allegiant’s a little different business model. They go after the leisure traveler, they come into communities a couple of times a week, and they sell packages to Las Vegas and the West, and Phoenix.”
Carberry says it’s difficult to get air service into smaller communities like Twin Falls, and that airlines are having fewer flights with fuller planes. However, he says that Skywest will continue providing their existing three flights a day.
